This service is operated by Seriously Easy Ltd (company number SC469872, trading as Cartridges4Charity) on behalf of . Seriously Easy Ltd shall be referred to in these Terms and Conditions as "we", "our" or "us" and the donor or proposed donor of cartridges, phones or other electronics as "you".
"Items" refers to any cartridges, phones or other electronics that you send to us, or to our partners under our direction, for reuse or recycling.
By using this web site, or the services described therein, you indicate your acceptance of these terms.
We may store and use information about your use of this web site, and may use third party tools to enable this.
Your items are sold to Seriously Easy Ltd upon sending, and the proceeds are calculated, credited to your account, and we then act as a conduit in donating this amount to .
If you have previously registered to donate to a different partner charity or organisation, this will be shown when you sign in to your account and the proceeds of items you send will go to that organisation.
Damaged empty cartridges have zero value. Other items if damaged are worth less than undamaged items. Cartridges may be regarded as damaged if they fail an electrical test, have cases that are not intact, or have visible signs of damage to the print head amongst other reasons that prevent their reuse.
Please ask for a guide quotation before sending your items if you would like clarification on particular items. All items are subject to testing to establish their value.
Please note that we do not accept any items except those we give you explicit permission to send.
Waste items (not accepted) include, but are not limited to:
Please see our partner web site EveryCartridge to environmentally dispose of any items that we cannot reuse. Whilst we will do our best to help you find other services to responsibly dispose of your waste items, this ultimately remains your responsibility.
If at any point we request that you stop using our services, you must take reasonable steps to prevent items from being sent. This would include contacting anybody to whom you have promoted the service, or given instructions to about sending items.
To protect our interests, in exceptional cases where we receive large quantities of waste items, or have asked you to stop sending items, we reserve the right to deduct a per-item fee from the beneficiary's account balance to recoup costs of postage, handling or disposal for items we cannot reuse.
Items sent cannot be returned due to the nature of processing, though we reserve the right to refuse receipt of consignments that we have not authorised, or are materially different from what was authorised.
If you are a UK tax payer, and are donating your items to a registered UK charity or CASC (community amateur sports club), you may be eligible to register for Gift Aid on your donations as part of the registration process.
You must pay at least enough Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year to cover the total amount of Gift Aid claimed by all charities and CASCs that you donate to. Council Tax, VAT, and other taxes do not qualify.
The items you donate must be owned by you personally, and you must ensure that items owned by others are not sent using any account number or prepaid label we give to you (which would be credited to your account).
If you register for Gift Aid and your circumstances change, you must notify us and the charity in question. You must provide accurate details at registration.
We shall assume full title to all items upon sending. Items cannot be returned at your request, though we reserve the right to refuse receipt of consignments.
For consignments of unused cartridges, for our papertrail, we must raise and issue you with a self-billing invoice listing the items received, and showing that we are in effect purchasing these items from you at a zero rate in order to sell them to raise funds for our charity beneficiary. You assert that the items you send us are not counterfeit and were obtained from a legitimate source, which you have records of. Should a claim arise about the authenticity of an item you have sent at any time and we request your assistance, you will make all reasonable efforts including checking your records, providing copies of relevant invoices and contacting your suppliers for this information if unavailable.
We do not take any responsibility for the loss or damage to items during transit. It is strongly recommended that items are packed carefully to avoid risk of damage. Please make sure that you official written Proof of Postage or similar from the carrier so that you can claim in the event of loss or damage to items in transit. We recommend the use of recorded delivery services for high-value consignments, at your discretion.
All items returned to us should be accompanied by the relevant account number or label, clearly indicated and legible, on the outside of the package as indicated in the instructions given to you on our web site or from us by email. If items are not clearly marked with the relevant account number or label when received we cannot be held responsible for any problems with the processing of these items, and you may not receive credit for these items.
At busy times, it may take up to 4 weeks from when we receive your items to process them. You will receive written confirmation (by email) of items as they are received and processed.
We offer no warranty or guarantee about the service, which may be withdrawn without notice. Our maximum liability to you, except as otherwise required by law, shall be the discharge of the outstanding balance of your account held with us.
We may alter this contract from time to time. Any changes will be shown on this page of our web site, with the date of last alteration at the top of the page. You are advised to check it each time you use our services.
